Cecelia Connally is excited to be stepping into her new role as Regional Director of South Alabama for the Alabama Kidney Foundation. She is also a student at the University of South Alabama, where she is pursuing dual degrees in Biology and Art. Cecelia’s journey with AKF began long before her current position—she has been volunteering with the organization since the age of 12, making her transition into a staff role especially meaningful.
Before joining AKF, Cecelia participated in the Disney College Program, where she worked for a year in various roles across Walt Disney World. Her experience included Main Street Operations in fireworks/entertainment, as well as events like runDisney marathons, Magic Kingdom’s Christmas and Halloween parties, EPCOT ‘s Festival of the Arts, and a member of the EPCOT Candlelight Choir. She cherishes her time at Disney as an opportunity to grow, connect, and spread joy to others.
Cecelia has also volunteered in hospitals and with organizations such as Feeding the Gulf Coast and Coastal Cleanup, always guided by her passion for helping others. She is eager to bring that same energy and compassion into her current work, where she is honored to support dialysis and kidney patients to make a positive difference in their lives.
